Story Spot began in 2017, primarily delivering music and storytelling programs to preschools. Then came the Storytelling Clubs for primary schools ... and soon after, Gifts from the Gods for upper primary students.

 

Collaborations with other local Newcastle creatives such as

Curious Legends and Sketch It Live,

as well as the Newcastle Museum and Newcastle Library, led to Story Spot becoming the umbrella under which Karen Eastwood shares her passion for writing, storytelling, performing and facilitating workshops.

Karen also hosts the Newcastle Library's Podcast, Chats with Fabulous Children's Authors and Illustrators as well as live author events.
